Left heat exchanger for the VW T2 Bus with Type 4 engine, year 08/1971–07/1978, with OEM number 021 256 091M. The heat exchanger sits around the exhaust pipe on the left side of the engine and uses exhaust heat to warm fresh air for the cabin heater. Replacement is necessary in case of rusted-through jackets or exhaust leaks into the heating circuit.
