Right rear backing plate for the VW Beetle up to 10/1957, OEM number 113 609 440. The plate provides the mounting for the wheel cylinder and brake shoes behind the brake drum and is bolted to the rear axle with four bolts. Replacement is required in case of corrosion or worn mounting holes.
