Fits the VW Beetle, Karmann Ghia, T3 Bus and Type 181. This plastic bearing bush sits in the steering column and wears out over time - causing play and rattling in the steering. The replacement part (171 419 341 / 175 419 341A) is inexpensive - so it's worth replacing it preventively if you're working in that area anyway. Combine this with a new steering column bush if that is also worn.
