Seal for the shift shaft in the gearbox nose cone of the VW T1 Bus, T2 Bus, T3 Bus, Beetle and Karmann Ghia from 08/1960, with OEM numbers 001 301 227 and 113 301 225. The ring seals the passage of the shift shaft where it exits the gearbox and prevents oil leakage along the shaft. Replacement is common when oil traces are visible at the front of the gearbox.
