Oil strainer for the air-cooled Type 1 engine in the VW T1 Bus, T2 Bus, Beetle and Karmann Ghia from 08/1960, with OEM numbers 311 115 175A and 111 115 175B. The strainer sits in the crankcase bottom under the oil pump and catches coarse contamination before the oil enters the lubrication system. Replacement is standard at every oil change together with the crankcase gaskets.
