These contact points are essential for reliable ignition in your air-cooled VW – they close and open the circuit that fires the spark plug. The OEM number 111 998 061 fits T1 - T2a - T2b - Type 3 - and Karmann Ghia models and is a direct replacement for the original. After a few years - they burn or wear out - leading to poor starting problems and rough running. Combine this with a new condenser and spark plug for complete ignition maintenance.
