This grommet ensures that the shaft remains properly sealed where it passes through the dashboard. On older Beetles - they wear out - allowing moisture and dust to creep in. OEM number 133 955 261 fits Beetle 1303 and T3 models. Combine this with a new wiper motor if you're already working on it.
