This is the rubber seal between the window glass and frame for the early VW Beetle convertibles up to -07/64 (chassis no. -6502399). It has the correct profile and differs in shape from the later 65- version.
On the split-window convertible they are fitted in one piece and laid neatly around the corners of the frame; the frames there are also properly shaped with the correct radius.
For 53-64 models they are fitted mitred in the corners, but not glued together as on later models.
Supplied in a 5 metre roll, enough for 1 car.
