Bubbel Top crankcase 97 mm, 82 mm stroke
Fits the VW T1 Bus, T2 Bus, Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Type 3 and Type 181. This crankcase is made of 100% aluminium, just like the engine cases used in Type 4 engines. It is heavier than an original crankcase, but this stronger aluminium ensures the bearing seats no longer wear oversize — confirmed by dyno testing under extreme conditions. The crankcase retains its original dimensions and is universal: suitable for both Type 1 and Type 3 engines.
